Associated Press Style

Use numbers for ages. Example: 25 years old 

Hyphenate ages when used as adjectives. Example: 25-years-old

Abbreviate Ave., Blvd., and St. and spell out First through Ninth and use figures for 10th and higher. Example: 801 First St.

Use quotations for books, songs, and film. Example: “To Kill a Mockingbird”

The Bible, magazines, references, and newspapers do not need quotations. Example: People Magazine

Capitalize months. Abbreviate the following months if used with a date: Jan., Feb., Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov. and Dec.
